Fortification building K – S 8 U nádraží

Its main military task was to create a barrage in the direction of the neighbouring buildings and to direct firing from the armoured copula to the forefronts of the Hůrka firing fortress. A secondary task was to cover the railway in the direction of Prostřední Lipka.

Hůrka artillery fort

Zobrazit detailHurka fort represents one of the pillars of Czechoslovak fortifications from 1935 - 1938. It consists of massive combat building structures in the highest resistance - so-called cabins (walls and roof slabs are 350 cm thick) and a large underground system of corridors and halls deep in the rock massif. Hurka was open to the public until autumn of 2012 in the state in which it had been handed over to the town Kraliky in May 2008 by the Ministry of Defence. In the years 2011 - 2012 it underwent extensive revitalization. The fortress is accessible in its full scope (1.75 km of underground corridors and halls, five combat buildings) and it is the largest building structure of Czechosloval fortification accessible to the public.

Letohrad Craft Museum

Zobrazit detailThe Museum is located on the premises of Novy Dvur dating back to 1750. The 2000 m2 area is the largest museum of its type in the CR. It includes more than 50 complete expositions on handicrafts and trades from the period of 1840-1930. In addition to relatively known professions, such as a joiner or carver, it presents work by metal pressers, wheelers, coopers, shingle maker, and many others. Among interesting expositions are mechanical workshops, sawmills with three functioning cutters and other unique technical monuments. The stylish restaurant Novy Dvur is situated in the same building.

Municipal museum

Zobrazit detailEarly classicist construction from 1795-96, with probably an older core (ground floor decorated with cross and tunnel vaulting with sections), spire reportedly added in 1834, in 1840 the clock, made by the Králický clockmaker Franz Reiss was added. Originally the town hall, district court, financial and land office. The building now houses the town musuem and information centre.

Municipal museum Letohrad

Zobrazit detailThe house dates back to 1680 and is in Baroque style. Classical renovations to the facade were conducted at the end of the 19th century. The house is connected with the name of the writer Petr Jilemnicky, who was born here in 1901.

The artillery stronghold of Bouda

Zobrazit detailBuilding from 1935-1938 is the most preserved building of its kind in the Czech Republic. It comprises of five battle buildings of the highest degree of resistence (walls and ceiling panels are 350 cm thick) and an extensive system of underground corridors and a room deep in the rock (ca. 1.5 km long). A monument is situated in the war barracks in the underground fortress, with a complete list of casualties and those murdered by the border guards in the autumn of 1938 to the spring of 1939.

Vysoký Kámen Museum - Czechoslovak fortification

Zobrazit detailCezchoslovak fortification buildings from 1936-1938 and their subsequent post-war reactivation. You can see a heavyweight fortification building, the K - S25, furthermore three lightweight fortification buildings. Number 260 in the form of post-war reactivation from the 1960s-70s, no. 59 in the form of German reactivation from 1944-45 and building no. 60 in the form it had after completion within the scope of tests carried out in 1939-41.
