The Hřebenovka route starts at the Czech Booth in the Krkonoše Mountains and copies the Czech-Polish Friendship Trail. It passes through the Adršpach Rocks, Broumov Walls and leads all the way to the Eagle Mountains.
The eastern part of Hřebenovka in the Pardubice region begins at the Zemská brána. The Czech and Polish routes of ridge trail are connected in Upper Moravia.
Hřebenovka is divided into the Kralická and Rychlebská branches in the Olomouc Region. The Kralická branch runs east from the borders of the Pardubice and Olomouc regions (Stříbrnická - sedlo) to Hrubý Jeseník. North of Hrubý Jeseník, Hřebenovka is led by the Rychlebská branch, all the way to the Růženec crossroads. An important crossroads is Větrolam, where both branches of the route meet .
In addition to the main route and the common sections that lead along the state border, the ridge trail consists of two main routes on the Polish side in the top parts of the mountain ridges.
